David M. Pearson
David Pearson, owner and operator of Realty World Swansboro Properties, began his lengthy and successful real estate career after attending Coastal Carolina Community College in 1982. Pearson, who grew up in Swansboro, North Carolina and graduated from Swansboro High School, has been married to his wife, Pam, since 1988. They have two adult daughters, Jessica and Kristen.
For years, David has consistently been a top producing real estate agent in Onslow and Carteret Counties, selling hundreds of homes and helping families find their dream along the North Carolina Crystal Coast. He has received many local, state, national, and international awards for production over the years. He has closed transactions as small as a few thousand dollars to multimillion dollars. David has real life experience in real estate, listing, selling, construction, development, commercial, and property management. With over 30 years of experience it is hard to find a Realtor with more expertise no matter what your real estate needs are.
David is also active in many community efforts including area schools, civic clubs, and State Parks. He was elected Swansboro town commissioner in 1995 and served on the Onslow County Economic Development Commission for several years. As a member of the Jacksonville Board of Realtors, Inc., he served as a director, as vice president, and then as president in 1999.
As a realtor, he served the N.C. Association of Realtors as a state director and is also a member of the Carteret County Association of Realtors, Inc. & the National Association of Realtors.
David has been a member of The Swansboro Rotary Club for nearly 30 years and has served on its board as treasurer, secretary and president. He was involved in building the Swansboro Rotary Civic Center and has been a leader in many club projects, international projects, and also served as Rotary District 7730 assistant governor for many years.
He has a long history at Hammocks Beach State Park where he founded Friends of the Hammocks and Bear Island, Inc. (a non-profit 501-C-3 Organization For the support of Hammocks Beach State Park) in 1991.He serves as the president of Friends of the Hammocks and Bear Island, Inc. and has been on the Hammocks Beach State Park Advisory Board since 1992.
In 1995, the state of North Carolina recognized David with the North Carolina State Parks Special Achievement Award for his service to the state parks system.
He also serves as the executive director of Friends of State Parks, Inc. (FSP), a nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation established in 1973 to support North Carolina State Parks. FSP promotes public awareness of the immense contributions of these natural areas to the quality of life for North Carolinians of present and future generations. He was elected FSP president in 2009 and served in that role until he was named executive director of the volunteer-driven organization.in 2014.
